There are 2 ways of managing Hierarchies in eloomi:
In Group administration (manually)
Using open API integration (automated) (Coming soon!)
How to create a new group in Hierarchies
To start creating and managing Hierarchies, first, navigate to Admin > Groups and select the Hierarchy tab.
To crate a new group in the Hierarchy view, click New
This will open a new window where you add information about your group.
You can add the following information:
Name: Give your group a unique name (you will get an error message if the group name already exists in the system)
Short name: Give your group a short name of up to 3 characters (if you leave this field blank, there will automatically be generated a short name)
Icon Color: Optional to define a color for the group for quicker identification in the overview.
Description: Optional additional description to better distinguish your groups.
Level: Optional add a Level to your group to further identify your group. Levels are shown as labels in the overview. Read more about levels in this help article.
At the bottom of the window, you can now choose "Select parent group" and this will open a new window.
From here, you can select which group your new group should be subordinated to. You can navigate by scrolling through the groups and opening the subgroups when available (marked with an arrow) or you can use the search option at the top.
Once you have clicked Select as parent you are back in the New group page, and you can click Create group.
Now, you find your new group among the organization's groups in the Hierarchy tab. You find the most recently created groups at the top of the page.
If you created your group adding it to a parent group as in the example above, you must navigate to that specific parent group and click the arrow to find your new group.
How to edit groups in Hierarchies
To edit a group in Hierarchies, click the Settings buttons that will appear once you hover over the individual groups.
This will open the Hierarchy settings window.
Here you can quickly:
Change or select the parent group for this specific group.
Change or add the level for the group
Change or add the individual managers for this group.
Once you're done with your edits, you can click save.
