Why use Approvals for Events & Webinars


Avoid manual bottlenecks and missed opportunities with an automated manager approval flow for Events & Webinars:

  • A time-saving workflow, simplifying the approval process for admin, manager and employee.

  • Simple approval management, all pending requests are conveniently found in the Manager Space.

  • Clear communication, enabling manager and employee to add notes to approval requests.

How to enable Approvals for Events


You can enable Approvals by first navigating to the Event you would like the enable this on via Admin > Learning > Events

From here, select the Event you want to enable Approvals on then click edit.

From here, select the three dots (...) in the top right and click Settings. Here you will see the option to enable Approvals on this Event.

Once this is enabled, you can assign the course to users who may want to attend the event. When users click on the event, it will start and approval flow, automatically requesting approval from the manager and automatical enrolment, if approval is given from the manager.

Users' Request of Approval


Once an event is assigned to the users with Approvals enabled, they can open the Event and view the details but will have to Request Approval from their manager to join.

Here, they can choose the session they want to join and add a note to send to their manager as to why they want to attend. Once they request access, the page will then look as so below. They also have the option to cancel the request if they change their mind.

Manager's Approval of Event


Once the user requests approval, their direct manager must either accept or decline their request. They will see the request via the Manager tab > then navigate to Learning.

Here, they will see the request in the main body of the page. Clicking "Review Now" will bring up this menu:

From here, the manager can see the name of the requester, the requested content, and when the approval was requested. Additionally, there is a separate tab for already reviewed. Click any row that you want to start the Approval process for, it should bring up this page:


Here you will see more information, similar to what you saw on the last page but more detailed. You can see the requester's comment, the session and event they want to join, and the date requested, and you can also choose if they are approved for the entire event or specific sessions.

Clicking either Reject or Approve will bring you to this page above. Here you have the option to explain/comment as to why you Rejected or Approved the request. Clicking Confirm will finalize the process for the user and will send the Rejection/Approval through.

Voila! You now have successfully setup an Approval flow for Events!
