We have described the various elements and areas of Conversations in detail below
The Conversations Page
A conversation represents a single or recurring meeting between a manager and their employee on a specific date and time. Both the manager and employee have access to this page as soon as the conversation is scheduled, so they can prepare the talking points they potentially wish to discuss, as well as add both private and shared notes:
Talking points: talking points can be added, updated, and checked by either participant, but only the creator of a talking point can delete it afterward.
Talking point suggestions: Allows Manager and Employee access to a Talking Points suggestion modal on the Conversations page. This aggregates and displays various categories and talking point suggestions tied with them. They can easily select and add those talking points to the Conversation at any time without any limits. Shared and Private Notes: During the meeting, both managers and employees can add Notes. Each conversation can support a list of shared notes, which are shown to both participants, as well as a single private note for each participant, which is only visible to themselves.
Action items: Managers and Employees can add Action Items to their Conversations. This will allow for collaborative tracking of To-Do items and communicating the next steps. Read more
Scheduling a Conversation
Managers can easily schedule conversations through the Manager tab from the top navigation. Conversations can be scheduled as a single event or a recurring check-in between the manager and their employee:
Finally, conversations are meant to be completed when the meeting between the manager and their employee is over. This process can also be automated and will lock any component inside the conversation from being editable, preserving the current state of the conversation. Read more
Manager Space
This page consists of several widgets for different actions:
(Coming Soon!) Sentiment analysis: This area allows for an analysis of existing agenda Items created by Employees and displays this for the Manager. The manager will see a Sentiment score for a specific Employee or for all Group members Agenda Items
Requires attention widget: This area allows managers to see employees who require immediate attention from a conversation perspective. The idea is to let the manager know which employee has not had a conversation for a longer time and still does not have one planned.
Upcoming conversations: this space details the most recent upcoming conversation with people based on the nearest date:
Additionally, you can see the events that are assigned to a user on this same page. To do this, select the group in the sidebar, select a user, click Learning, then Events. Bringing you to this page:
Here you will see:
Total assigned events
Future sessions
Completed sessions
Needs your enrollment
Scrolling down, you can see the individual events that are assigned to you. Here you will see the Title of the event, if you are enrolled, and the status of the event.
Group Conversation Overview
The group overview allows managers to see all the groups they are a manager for and also see employees from a specific group:
Managers can see a table of all members of the group, which gives an overview of their past and upcoming conversations, as well as allowing the scheduling of conversations from the table if none are scheduled for a given employee.
Employee Conversation Overview
Managers can see an overview of all conversations for a specific employee by selecting them from the table or searching for them through the left-hand sidebar:
Here they get an overview of conversations for the specific employee, as well as having the ability to create conversations for the given employee.
'For you' Space
This is a new space available to all people to see information relevant to themselves. Currently, it allows access to the people's own “My learning” report and their personal Conversation overview:
The Conversations tab allows people an entry point to see their relevant conversations with Managers. People are currently not able to create conversations, and only managers are allowed to do so.
