SCORM Quiz Reporting

This article explains how Global Admins can gather deeper insights into Learner performance from exporting Quiz level data from SCORM Courses.

What is SCORM Quiz Reporting?

SCORM Quiz Reporting captures Question-level results from within a SCORM Course and allows Admins greater insights to Learner completions by exporting Quiz reporting data in the Course report.

When enabled, Admins can:

  • Export Learner Quiz results to Excel

  • Review question-by-question responses

  • Examine how Learners answered specific questions

  • View aggregate Quiz performance metrics

  • Compare final and best scores across multiple attempts

Quiz data is processed after each Course Completion, not during the active learner session. This means that active attempts from Users with a Course Status of In progress are not included in the Excel report when an Admin runs an export.

Quiz interaction data is processed automatically upon completion and becomes available shortly afterwards.

SCORM Requirements

A SCORM Course must send interaction data to allow in-platform Quiz reporting on Question-level results. If a SCORM Course does not send interaction data, Question-level results will not be available to display in-platform, and only Completion status will be captured and reflected in Reporting.

The following SCORM versions are supported in the platform:

  • SCORM 2004

  • SCORM 1.2

However, not all SCORMs provide Question-level data. Specifically, for SCORM 1.2, the Question Text column will be empty as this is not included in the SCORM 1.2 standard.

RECOMMENDATION: Use SCORM 2004 if possible to allow Question-level results to be displayed in Course reporting in-platform.

Enabling SCORM Quiz Reporting for SCORM Courses

SCORM Quiz reporting is disabled by default and must be enabled individually per SCORM Course. Once enabled, the platform processes interaction data from both existing Completions as well as new ones going forward.

To enable SCORM Quiz answers in Reporting for an uploaded SCORM package, you must navigate to Admin > Learning > Courses. Here, you select the relevant SCORM Course to open the Course Builder.

In the right sidebar, you will find the Include in quiz reporting toggle:

IMPORTANT: As per the tooltip, this toggle does not apply to AICC Courses.

Enabling SCORM Quiz reporting for SCORM Pages

If an in-platform built Course is using the SCORM page option, the Admin must open the Course and navigate to the SCORM page. Here, they must enable the toggle Include in quiz reporting as illustrated below:

IMPORTANT: When enabling this setting, the system also processes interaction data from previous Course Completions already recorded in the platform.

How To Access SCORM Quiz Reports

To access the SCORM Quiz reporting, you must simply export the Course report. First, navigate to Reports > Courses and find the relevant SCORM Course.

You can also find Course reporting from within the Admin Learning space by navigating to Admin > Learning > Courses. From here, find the relevant SCORM Course and click the three dots (...) in the right side of the page when hovering over the Course. From here, select the option See insights.

Click the Download icon next to the Filters and select between Summary report and SCORM question summary report.

The option Summary report allows you to download the Course Overview Report where the first tab, Course Report, is extended with SCORM Quiz data, while the second tab, Quiz Summary, is extended with a Course Quiz summary.

The option SCORM question summary report allows you to download an Overview Report showing every Question and overall Completion data across all attempts.

Additionally, it is also possible to download a per-Learner Question Report showing every Question and Response across all attempts. This is available when hovering over the name of an assigned User, and clicking the three dots (...) in the right side of the table. Here, click Download report.
