Reviewing completed Courses
Learners can reopen and review Courses they have already completed - without affecting their progress or results. This makes it easier to revisit important Content while ensuring that completion data remains accurate in reporting.
Before a Learner has completed an assigned Course, the Course page will show the button Start course:
Once the Learner has completed the Course, the Course page experience will slightly change. Instead of having access to start the Course again, the Learner can reopen it in review mode and the button will change to View course:
In the review mode:
All Course content can be accessed
Pages can be freely revisited
The Course follows a read-only experience
This allows Learners to go back and refresh their knowledge at any time - without impacting completion tracking or reporting.
When reviewing a completed Course, the Learner will find that the button on the final page will be Close course rather than Complete.
Reviewing Quizzes
When a Learner reviews a completed Course that uses Quiz components, they will have a slightly different experience in the review mode. This different review behavior is established to protect Course results.
For Quiz pages, Learners can:
View their previous answers
See quiz results
Learners cannot:
Change answers
Retake quizzes
Use the Try again option
Ultimately, all Quiz components are displayed in read-only mode.
Reviewing SCORM Courses
SCORM Courses follow the same overall Review principle as Course built in-platform, with only a slight difference.
Once the Learner has completed a SCORM Course, the Course page experience will similarly show the button View course and the content can be reviewed based on the SCORM settings. When reopening a SCORM Course, the Complete button will no longer be available.
Navigation inside a SCORM Course depends on how the package is built:
If navigation is enabled, Learners can browse freely
If navigation is restricted, those restrictions still apply
Courses blocked from review
Learners might experience being blocked from reviewing completed Courses. This might be because of one of the following reasons:
Course is archived: Once archived, Courses cannot be reviewed.
Course is empty: If all Course pages have been removed from the Course, the Learner will not be able to reopen it.
Refresher settings: If the Refresher setting “Disable full course when the refresher is active” is enabled, the Main Course will be blocked while the Refresher Course is active.
Learning Plan lock settings: If a Learning plan applies locks, completed Courses might be blocked until previous Courses have been completed.
