Overview

When creating a post, you can add a learning category, to add more context and to help users navigate and filter.(Note: Search and filter options coming soon).

When using a Category with your post, you automatically connect it to the categories in the learning environment, connecting the current learners to the topics - ensuring you collect relevant feedback and discussions in one place. Learn more about how Learning Categories and Topics work.

How to add a Category

When creating a post, you can attach images & videos, Promote learning, Poll, and Categories. Learn the basics of how to create a post.

To add a Category to your post, simply press the orange Category icon at the bottom, when creating or editing the post.

Now, you can select a Category for your post. The categories correspond to the selection of categories available in your platform and are defined by your admin.

Once you have selected the Category, it will be visible at the top of your post.

Please note: You can only select one Category per post.

If you wish to change the selected category, press the orange Category icon at the bottom once again and revise your selection.

Once you publish your post, you have created a post with a Category!

How to filter on a Category

When you access a Community feed, you can activate the filter clicking the filter option to the top right. Now, you can select the Categories you want to filter and hit activate by hitting Confirm.

Now, you have filtered the Community feed by the selected Categories. The number next to the filter option indicates an active filter.
