What is User Impersonation?
User Impersonation works similarly to Proxy Login for People. Administrators can impersonate another user and see the experience of a specific user, including the courses they are assigned. This also helps to debug any challenges the user may be facing, for example, if they are unable to access a specific course
To comply with data privacy regulations (like GDPR), the Messaging feature (if active) is excluded when logging in as another use.
To Impersonate another User, simply navigate to Admin > Organization.
Find the specific User you would like to Impersonate and click on the 3 Dots to display options. Here you can simply click on Login as User:
You will see a confirmation window:
Once confirmed, you will be successfully logged in as the specific user and will have the same visibility and experience in terms of course assignments and access.

โImportant Note:
To protect user privacy, Messaging feature is excluded during impersonation. Admins do not have access to the Messaging tab, nor will they be able to view direct messages or group chats of the impersonated user. This ensures that user-to-user communications remain private and secure, even during necessary administrative tasks.
Once you have finished Impersonating, click on Switch Back to return to your original session. This will close the Impersonation of the User and log you back in as your own User
