How to enable the AI Course Creator

To access the AI Course Creator, you must first enable it in the platform. To do this, go to Admin > Settings > Learning. Here, you must click Enable AI Course Creator.

IMPORTANT: Please note that access to the AI Course Creator for Users with a Custom Role (not Global Admins) must be added to the Role under Admin > Organization > Roles, as it will not be available by default for Users with access to Admin > Learning (such as the Content Creator role).

How to create Courses using AI

Once enabled, you must navigate to Admin > Learning > Courses. From here, click the button New in the top-right corner of the page and select Build course. A pop-up will appear allowing you to either Start from scratch or Build with AI.

When selecting Build with AI, you will first see some tips to get started. Upon clicking Start creating now, the AI Course Creator will prompt you to answer a few questions to clarify the purpose and scope of the Course you are looking to create. The number of questions will depend on the quality and clarity of your answers.

Once the AI Course Creator has sufficient information to proceed, the Course creation process will begin and a Course Structure Proposal will be presented. Here, you have the option to describe changes you would like to make if any. When you are satisfied with the proposed outline of the Course, click Build course in the top-right corner of the page.

You will then see the AI Course Creator working in real-time as the Course is being created. Once the Course creation process concludes, you will have full access to review and edit the Course as you see fit.

Navigating to a Content page will allow you to click Edit with AI (star icon) to the right of each Content block. Here, you will find a list of the following editing options:

  • Custom instruction

  • Improve writing

  • Proofread

  • Change tone

  • Simplify language

  • Translate

  • Make shorter

  • Make longer

You can also highlight a specific section of text within the Content block and click to Edit with AI for only the selected text.

IMPORTANT: If you click to Replace an AI-generated image in a Course, you must replace it with an image of your own. The AI Course Creator will not be able to generate a new image for the Course.

How to translate Courses using AI

By navigating to the three dots (...) in the Course Creator top bar and selecting Settings, you can scroll down and find Languages. When clicking +Add language, you must first select the language you wish the Course to be translated to. When selecting a language, a pop-up appears allowing you to choose between Manual translation or AI auto-translation.

Once you select the AI auto-translation option, you will see an info box telling you to safely close the Settings while the auto-translation is working in the background.

When the translated Course is ready, it will be illustrated in the Language dropdown in the Course Creator top bar stating New translations ready for review!

You must click on the newly added Language to review it. Find that the Language by default is Unpublished, meaning it is not yet available to assigned Learners.

The translated Course will not be available to assigned Learners until you click Publish language.

If you wish to only translate select parts of a Course, you can do so by navigating to the specific Content page. Here, you must either click Edit with AI (star icon) to the right of a Content block or highlight a specific section of text within the Content block and click to Edit with AI for only the selected text.
