The Native Integrations feature allows eloomi customers to connect seamlessly with other HRIS tools like Azure ID for instance. This makes it easier to manage elements like identity verification and data transfer while automating the creation and updates of people's data from HRIS to eloomi without any human intervention.
Native Integrations requires an active subscription as an add-on to your active eloomi subscription/service plan. Please reach out to your Account Manager or the Support team in order to add Native Integration to your subscription or to enable it.
How to Activate Native Integrations
To activate Native Integrations, please follow the steps below:
Login to your eloomi environment and navigate to Admin > Integrations > Native Integrations
Clicking on "New" will allow you to see a list of currently available HRIS systems you can create an integration with
We have supported integrations with many HRIS tools, however, some of those have "Request Only" access. Reach out to our Support team by clicking on the HRIS tool section and an in-app chat will pop up.
How to start using Native Integrations for Azure Active Directory
For the sake of this article, we will describe a walk-through of a typical Native Integration setup with Azure Active Directory.
This part of setup will require someone with admin access to your Azure ID instance (Microsoft Entra)
Navigate to Admin > Integrations > Native Integrations
Click on New to create a new integration connection
Select Azure ID
Follow the instructions on screen to get the required Tenant ID from Azure ID and submit in eloomi
The system will require an authentication step to verify identity. Confirm by going through the on-screen prompts and finish setup
Congratulations! Your integration has now been created and you are ready to sync people
Sync your HRIS to eloomi
Once the connection has been established - you can click on the "sync now" option to start syncing people from Azure ID to your eloomi environment.
Syncing enabled will automatically sync people from your Active Directory to eloomi once a day.
Managing Which Users Sync from Microsoft Entra Native Integration
When setting up a sync between Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure AD) and eloomi using Native Integration, all active and inactive users are pulled into eloomi by default. However, you can easily control which users are included by using filters.
Filtering Users in Microsoft Entra for Native Integration with eloomi
By default, syncing via Native Integration with Microsoft Entra pulls in all users, including inactive ones. To sync only specific users, you can filter them using Groups.
How to filter users:
Create a Group in Microsoft Entra and add only the users you want to sync.
Share the Group Name and Group ID with eloomi Support.
Our team will configure the sync to include only users in that Group.
Automating Deactivation or Deletion of Filtered Users
To ensure users are properly removed from eloomi:
Deactivate or delete the user in Microsoft Entra.
Remove them from the filtered Group.
On the next sync, the user will be deactivated or deleted in eloomi.
Keep in mind: If a user is removed from the Group without being deactivated or deleted first, they will remain in eloomi and marked as managed by Native Integration, but no longer update.
Manage Integration Settings
Map User Fields
Click on the Settings option to manage Integration Settings.
eloomi syncs some fields by default which include:
First Name
Last Name
Email address
Groups
For any additional data fields please use the Contact Us option and speak to our Support team to find out supported data fields.
Automatic user creation and activation
Whenever new people are created in your HRIS system, they will automatically be created as people in eloomi.
By toggling "Create & activate" in the Integrations settings, the people will also be automatically activated.
Managing Inactive People
You also get an option to control how you want the Integration to handle Inactive people.
Delete will ensure Inactive people are removed from your eloomi environment after they are deactivated from Azure ID
Deactivate will update Inactive people from Azure ID and Deactivate them in eloomi
Synced people will remain Inactive unless they are manually Activated in eloomi. You can do this by navigating to Admin > Organisation and activating a single person or Bulk Activate people. Read more
