What is Max Number of Participants?

Max number of participants allows you to set a cap on how many people can join an event.

You can access this by editing the session that was set up for the webinar/event.

Or during the actual creation of the session in the settings area.

Once you turn on the option for Max number of participants and set a number (e.g. 20), the option for Waiting List opens up.

What is a Waiting List

Waiting lists allow people to sign up for a waiting list for the Event session, this is useful as it allows people to show interest in the session. This informs the instructor of the number of people not yet registered who are interested in attending the session next time. Additionally, if someone who is registered cancels, whoever is on the waiting list (in chronological order of when they signed up for the waiting list) will be invited to the session!

Once the maximum number of participants is set, the option for "waiting list" will open. Turning this on will allow people to join a waiting list for the webinar/event.

On the Person's side, they will see the upcoming event on the home page of their platform. Clicking it will allow them to join the event.

If there are no more spots left in the session, the user will be able to sign up for the waiting list. Once they are on the waiting list, they will receive a notification once a spot becomes available.
